A clever fox tricks a lion, a cheetah, and a tiger into leaving a dead elephant she cannot eat alone. She succeeds and manages to eat it after fighting off another fox, but the moral of the story shifts to knowing who to respect, who to live with, and who to fight.

The Extremely Clever Fox

Hello friends, today I’ll tell you a story about a fox.

A long time ago, a very clever fox lived in a forest. She was very intelligent and quick-witted.

One day, while walking through the jungle, she came across the body of a dead elephant. She thought, “If I can keep this elephant, I won’t have to hunt for a long time. This elephant alone will satisfy my hunger.” She immediately went to the elephant, but when she tried to eat it, her happiness was short-lived because the elephant’s hide was too tough to tear. She thought, “What should I do now?”

Just then, a lion was passing by. The fox called out to him and said, “Oh, King of the Jungle, look! I’ve hunted an elephant for you. You can eat this and be content.” The lion replied, “No, fox. I don’t eat another’s prey. I am a lion. I hunt for myself and eat. You can have it.” Saying this, he walked away. The fox was now puzzled, wondering what to do.

Just then, a cheetah passed by. When the cheetah approached, the fox climbed onto the elephant and shouted, “Don’t even dare to eat this elephant! This is the lion’s prey. If you even touch it, the lion won’t spare you.” The cheetah, seeing the lion’s paw prints on the ground, became frightened. He said, “No, I’m not going to eat this. The lion can have it. I’m leaving.” And he ran away.

A little later, a tiger passed by. The fox called out to the tiger and said, “Look, look! This is the lion’s prey. I’m guarding it. But you can eat it. I’ll stay here and keep watch. If the lion comes, I’ll warn you, and you can run away.” The tiger liked the idea and approached the elephant to eat. As the tiger tore into the elephant’s hide and was about to take a bite, the fox began to scream, “Oh no! The lion is coming! The lion is coming! Run!” Hearing this, the tiger got scared and ran away.

Now the fox was happy, thinking she could finally eat the elephant in peace. But just then, another fox came along and started looking at the elephant with a desire to eat it. This made the clever fox furious. She thought, “I’ve gone to so much trouble to get this elephant, and now this other fox is here to eat it.” She pounced on the other fox and began to fight with her. After defeating the other fox, she chased her away. Once the other fox was gone, she sat down and ate the elephant with great relish.

What is the lesson of this story? We should respect those who are more powerful than us, live in harmony with those weaker than us, and fight with those who are of equal strength to celebrate our victory.
