The Story of a Clever Rabbit
Hello friends, today I’ll tell you a story about a rabbit.
A long time ago, a very terrifying lion lived in a forest. Every day he would catch an animal to satisfy his hunger. The animals of the forest were tired of this lion and lived in constant fear. So all the animals came together and decided to send one of their own to the lion every day, so that the lion would eat him. They approached the lion with this offer and said, “You no longer have to hunt. We will send one animal to you every day for you to eat.” The lion liked the offer and agreed, saying, “Fine. From now on, I will not go out to hunt. But I need one animal every afternoon. Anyone can come, and I’ll eat them.” And so, every day, an animal would go to the lion to be eaten.
One day, it was a rabbit’s turn. The rabbit was very clever. When his turn came, he slowly and leisurely made his way to the lion. The lion, who was suffering from hunger, had been waiting a long time. As soon as the rabbit arrived, the lion asked, “Why are you so late? Where were you? Don’t you know how hungry I am?”
The rabbit replied, “Your Majesty, I left a long time ago. But what could I do? I met another lion on the way who wanted to eat me. I told him I was going to the king of the jungle to be eaten, and he said, ‘The king of the jungle? I am the king. Who is this other lion who calls himself the king of the jungle?'” The lion became furious. “There’s another lion in this jungle, and he calls himself the king? Show me! I’ll take care of him!” And he set off with the rabbit.
After walking for a long time, the rabbit led the lion to a well and pointed inside. “Your Majesty, that lion is inside this well!” When the lion looked in, he saw his own reflection. But he didn’t realize it was a reflection. He thought there was another lion in the well. The lion roared, “Who are you?”
His own voice echoed back to him, “Who are you?” The lion got angry and replied, “I am the king here!” The echo returned, “I am the king here!” Enraged, the lion jumped into the well to fight the other lion. But as soon as he hit the water, he died. The rabbit was very happy. “I’m safe! My life is saved!” he thought. All the other animals were happy too because with the lion gone, they could live in peace in the forest.
The moral of this story is that intelligence is more powerful than strength.
I hope you liked this story. We’ll meet again with another story. Namaste.
