Three learned friends, lacking common sense, use their knowledge to reanimate a dead lion. The lion immediately kills them, proving that a lack of common sense makes even the most extensive knowledge worthless.
The Story of the Four Friends
Hello friends, today I’ll tell you a story about four friends.
There was a small village where four very close friends lived. They all studied together, but they eventually felt that the education they had received was not enough. So, they decided to travel to Kashi to pursue further studies. The four of them planned their journey, but one of the friends said he wasn’t going. “I’ll stay here,” he said. “I’ll stay here and focus on general knowledge”—or, as it’s known in English, common sense. So, the three friends went to Kashi to study, but the one friend remained in the village.
Many years passed, and the three friends returned to the village after finishing their studies. All four friends were very happy to be reunited. After a few days, however, they realized that their small village didn’t have many opportunities for work. So, they decided to go to another village to start a business. The four of them set off on their journey.
On the way, they came to a large forest. In the forest, they found a pile of bones from a dead lion. The three friends thought, “Why don’t we test our knowledge here?” They decided to use their knowledge to bring the lion back to life.
But their fourth friend said, “No, don’t do something so foolish! If you bring this lion to life, it will eat us first.” The other three friends became angry. “You’re just jealous of our knowledge, which is why you’re trying to stop us,” they said. The fourth friend replied, “Okay, do what you think is right, but I’m going to climb a tree first.” And with that, he climbed a tree.
After he had climbed the tree, the three friends worked together to bring the lion back to life. As soon as the bones became a living lion, the lion immediately pounced on the three friends, killed them, and ate them. Then it left.
After the lion was gone, the fourth friend, who was still in the tree, saw what had happened. He became very sad and thought, “I told them not to do it, but they didn’t listen to me and brought the lion to life.”
The moral of this story is that no matter how much you study or how much knowledge you acquire, it’s all useless if you don’t have common sense.
I hope you liked this story. We’ll meet again. Namaste friends.
